HISTORY
The Investment Banking Club was founded in early 2014 by a group of students with a passion and commitment to strengthening the representation of Northwestern on Wall Street and beyond. The founding members of NUIBC identified a mismatch between the number of high performing students interested in investment banking and the level of recruitment and opportunities available in finance through traditional career services. NUIBC has since then expanded beyond Investment Banking, facilitating students with placement at top firms in Private Equity, Asset Management, Sales and Trading, and other fields in finance.
A belief in the capabilities of Northwestern University students was ultimately the catalyst that led to the creation of the Investment Banking Club. A group of driven peers recognized that Northwestern University was under-recruited by top finance firms. With its members’ passion for finance, Midwestern work ethic, and team mindset, the Investment Banking Club quickly flourished around the common goal of providing Northwestern students with the resources to start successful careers in finance.
